We expect every driver entering and leaving our plant and job sites to be responsible, professional, and courteous. That’s why we developed our Good Neighbor Trucking Policy (GNTP) to address issues associated with trucks moving to and from its operations. We believe anyone engaged in the transportation of our products must share our commitment to safe and responsible trucking. This includes drivers, customers, brokers, and team members. In addition to our commitment to safety, we also desire to be sensitive to our community’s concerns about hauling on roads near its operations.
Our Good Neighbor Trucking policy reinforces local traffic laws, safety rules, and permit conditions. Additionally, it addresses many concerns of our neighbors so that we minimize our impact to the communities within which we operate. In many cases, the policy is supplemented with site-specific rules to address each operation according to its unique circumstances.
Just as we care about our team, and our community, we care about the world around us. Lehman-Roberts Company is the benefactor of many gifts — including the beautiful landscapes of the Mid-South. We’re determined to take care of those gifts and leave everything we touch better for those who follow us.
Because our industry is dependent on natural resources, stewardship of those resources is one of the core values we strive to accomplish every day. We take utmost responsibility for our relationship to the environment, and we seek to minimize our environmental footprint. We’ve developed best practices that include recycling old asphalt and reusing other raw materials (most notably roof shingles) whenever possible. Lehman-Roberts Company diverts nearly 1,000 tons (2 million pounds) of roof shingles from landfills each year.
